How it all began ......

"Things I do" started as a home based business in 2002 when my husband John and I (Robin) were interested in a business that both could become involved with. After attending an entrepreneur show in Toronto, we were drawn to a booth that showcased equipment for producing printed items such as business cards and invitations. In fact, we went back to this booth 5 times!!

We talked with the representative on-site, took their literature and also investigated them out with the Better Business Bureau in the U.S. As a result, market research from Barrie to Niagara Falls ensued and we discovered that there was definitely a market for a quality, inexpensive product. There was however a bigger market for personalized service, not a 1-800 number or a "here's the book let me know if you find something" and that's how "Things I DO" came to be.

In late 2004, the need for assistance became clear, and this need was met with Christine becoming a partner. Christine and I opened a retail unit located at 48 Ellen Street in Barrie, Ontario in May 2005. Due to these larger facilities, we are now selling practically anything you need for your celebration, but as always, specialize in invitations, with our dedication to personal service.
